Challenge: How to control tire inventory among NASCAR race teams? Solution: A new tire-leasing program from The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company was put into place for the NASCAR Nextel Cup, Busch and Craftsman Truck series to eliminate well funded race teams from purchasing additional tires for testing and, in turn, gaining a competitive edge on race day. To stay one step ahead, The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company also turned to Advanced ID and embedded their RFID TIRE Tag in the leased tires' sidewalls to help manage the leased inventory.
